Many people may not know the cosmetic products they are using or consuming now are mostly animal-tested products. There are only three countries (Norway, Israel, and India) which have banned the sales of animal-testing products or animal testing experiments.
In the UK, animal-testing is illegal, however selling animal testing products is legal.
80 percent of countries have permitted the sales of animal testing products, although experiments are not accepted. Selling animal-tested cosmetic products are the basic requirement to enter China’s cosmetic market.
The animation is inspired by a human street-art experiment conducted by the Lush cosmetics company in 2012. The aim of the street-art experiment was to provoke reactions from the passers-by to by using human as the experiment to showcase what the animals face every day.
Research conducted in Autumn has delivered a message saying the technology nowadays is advanced enough to replace animal testing as an alternative to using animals as experiment testers.
The animation is targeted at female audiences since they are the largest consumer group in the beauty industry. The main story is basically surrounded by the central female protagonist who is an online beauty blogger, which have accidentally bought an animal-tested mascara and turned into an experiment rabbit.
