My Father’s Dream

Samuel Folayan

My Father’s dream is a self-reflective piece by producer and presenter Samuel Folayan that attempts to explore the concerns surrounding his migrant father and the hopes and dreams he has for his family.

Stylistic innovations in the form of using authentic sounds and music from back home, Samuel attempts to interweave the use of nostalgic and cultural sounds from Nigeria and interviews from the three members of his immediate family (Mum, Dad and Sister) to discuss the issues they’ve had individually and collectively and positions them in this piece to explain this introspective and personal narrative.
