Bollox to Brexit

Bollox to Brexit

Jennifer Long

‘BOLLOCKS TO BREXIT’ has become the defining phrase of the Remain movement and can be seen on neon yellow stickers all over the UK. This project has followed the protests surrounding Brexit and captures the humour conveyed in the British response to such political chaos. Presented as a cut and paste newspaper featuring Brexit activists, the project hopes to inform but mainly amuse in the current times.

Influenced by the wit of Martin Parr as well as photojournalism, the images all adhere to traditional ‘punctum’ photography, as they harness the ‘decisive moment’. With previous projects also focussing on street photography, these shoots have built well into a more focussed political standpoint.
